Takvim claim Besiktas are set to make an offer for PSV Eindhoven’s Nicolas Isimat Mirin in the coming days, but the Istanbul club also have a backup plan in Sunderland’s Papy Djilobodji if they don’t sign the French defender.

Dijolobji has already been linked with a move to Turkey this summer, after reports Trabzonspor were interested in the Sunderland defender.

Despite Sunderland’s relegation to the League One last season the Senegalese defender remains at the club, but he could be an option for Besiktas.

The Turkish club are looking to add a central defender to their squad with Domagoj Vide likely to leave in this transfer window. The Croatian is drawing attention from a number of Premier League clubs.

According to Takvim, if Besiktas fail to sign Isimat Mirin, then they’ll make a loan offer with the English club for Djilobodji. The Black cats have already lost Lamine Koné in this window after the player joined Strasburg on loan last week.

Dijolobji still has two years left on his Sunderland contract.
