The newspaper remind their readers that Kim has a release clause in his contract valid from the 1st to the 15th of July that allows clubs to sign him for a figure that ‘exceeds €50m and can touch €60m’, depending on the type of club that comes knocking.
Manchester United would likely be on the higher end of the scale, and it’s pointed out that Erik ten Hag’s side are one of the two main clubs (Manchester City being the other) that ‘animate the auction’ of the wages on any renewal Napoli might offer their star defenders.
That being said, ‘the sale of the club is fatally limiting the manoeuvres of the Red Devils’, and that’s something that needs to be solved quickly to get Ten Hag the players he wants to improve Manchester United ahead of next season.
