Wolverhampton Wanders have been told they’re signing an ‘exemplary’ player in Santi Bueno after he completed his move to Molineux today.
Mundo Deportivo cover the player’s move today, which has been progressing throughout this week and was announced by Wolves earlier today.
They explain that Bueno arrived in England at some point today to complete the final part of the transfer, presumably undergo a medical, and sign his contract.
The deal is now done and announced, with the Catalan team set to pocket the largest amount in their history for the defender.
While that is very much a positive for them as Bueno represents a major profit from a player who they developed themselves, but they are sad to see him leave as he has been a star player for them since his arrival.
The newspaper reports he has been a ‘blessing’ for the club since his arrival and they will now pocket at least €8m for him, the biggest sale in the club’s history.
According to them, Wolves are getting a player who has not only been ‘exemplary’ on the pitch but off it too, where he has formed a strong relationship with the club’s fanbase.
This is why he will be shipped off to Molineux with their best wishes, albeit with a tinge of sadness behind it.
It now remains to be seen if he can repeat the trick at Wolves, where they will be hoping he develops into as much of a key player as he was at Girona.
