Leicester City’s Dennis Praet is back on Torino’s radar for the winter market, according to La Stampa, relayed by Toro News.
The midfielder spent the 2021/22 season on loan at the Serie A side and they were keen on bringing him back to the club towards the end of the last window.
Back in September, Calciomercato stated talks with Leicester had ‘intensified’ but the deal didn’t take shape after the 29-year-old suffered an injury.
La Stampa now point that out and add that Torino’s ‘love has never faded’ for Praet. In fact, both the Turin club and their manager, Ivan Jurić, are thinking about him for January.
The Belgium international hasn’t been the first choice for Enzo Maresca this season. He’s clocked in 255 minutes from six games and that includes only one start in the league.
It’s claimed the Leicester ‘all-rounder’ is back on the Turin club’s agenda and due to his situation at the King Power Stadium, they have ‘re-established relations’ for a potential deal.
Praet’s current deal lasts until 2024 and the report doesn’t mention if Torino are aiming for a loan deal or plan to buy him next month.
