On February 8th, InterLive.it reported Tottenham Hotspur are the most interested team in Marcelo Brozović and have come up with two formulas to sign the Inter Milan player in the summer.
Two days later, reports elsewhere said the midfielder is identified as the ideal target for Spurs because of Antonio Conte, as the manager trained Brozović when he was at the San Siro between 2019 and 2021.
The Croatia international’s future could be away from the Serie A side and Tottenham are in the mix to sign him.
That’s according to Corriere dello Sport, relayed by Calciomercato, who explain the Italian club are ‘preparing to say goodbye’ to the 30-year-old in the summer.
Brozović isn’t having the best season and is ‘perhaps reaching the lowest point’ of his Inter adventure.
He’s featured 17 times in all competitions this season as injuries have forced him to spend more than two months on the sidelines.
That hasn’t stopped Simone Inzaghi’s from receiving requests from Tottenham and three other teams as they ‘want him’.
It’s said Inter are starting to think about selling him for a fee no less than €30m.
The Croatian’s contract is until 2026 and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham or any other club would be willing to meet Inter’s demands for the player who will turn 31 later this year.
