On May 22nd, Calciomercato reported Nottingham Forest had initiated contact to sign AC Monza goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio.
Steve Cooper’s side are one of the clubs interested in the 25-year-old and this is now highlighted again by Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, relayed by Tutto Cagliari.
He claims Monza have ‘received several offers’ for the stopper and one of them is from Nottingham Forest. There’s no mention of the details of their proposal.
Apart from the Tricky Trees, the report doesn’t give any details of other clubs that have made offers for the Italian. Should Di Gregorio leave, the outlet points out that Monza have a replacement lined up for him.
Last summer, Monza signed both Di Gregorio and Alessio Cragno [on loan with conditions obligation from Cagliari]. The latter was restricted to a substitute role last season.
Cragno could take advantage and become the first-choice stopper at Monza, if Di Gregorio were to move elsewhere in this window.
Di Gregorio isn’t the only goalkeeper on Nottingham Forest’s radar. Earlier today, Cum Hurriyet stated the Premier League side are ‘preparing to make €10m bid’ for Trabzonspor goalkeeper Uğurcan Çakır.
Manchester United’s Dean Henderson spent last season on loan at Nottingham Forest and reports in the UK have stated he’s also on their agenda for next season.
