Beşiktaş took Arthur Masuaku from West Ham United on a loan deal with an option to buy, which will become an obligation if he makes a certain number of appearances this season.
On April 10th, Beşiktaş manager Şenol Güneş confirmed the clause that will automatically make the left-back’s stay permanent. A day later, their chairman, Ahmet Nur Çebi revealed his side’s desire to buy the West Ham owned player.
The DR Congo international’s loan deal will automatically be made permanent for €2.2m if he were to start against Trabzonspor on Sunday, according to Sabah
They state the Black Eagles have made a ‘final move’ request for a discount from West Ham ahead of the weekend clash. Beşiktaş wanted to bring down the defender’s price by €200,000-€300,00.
It’s explained the Istanbul club have received ‘good news’ from David Moyes’ side, who have agreed to lower the fee to €2m.
With Beşiktaş finally getting what they want from the Hammers, Güneş can start Masuaku on Sunday and his stay can be made permanent. The fullback is expected to sign a three-year deal with the Turkish club.
Masuaku has two goals and four assists from 26 matches this season.
