Two days ago, Tuttosport reported Leicester City’s Dennis Praet is willing to take a pay cut in order to seal a return to Torino in the winter market.
It was also explained the 28-year-old is ready to push for a move in January. The Belgium international wanting to return to the Serie A side is also highlighted by Torino Granata.
They state he has never hidden his desire to sign for Torino, while the latter would ‘welcome him with open arms’. Leicester, at the moment, are the block.
Leicester’s preference is to cash in from the midfielder’s sale in the next window and if that is not possible, they will let him leave on loan with an obligation to buy. His contract expires in 2024 and the base price set by the English club is close to €10m.
This is not a small amount for the Italian club and therefore, they ‘want a discount’ from Brendan Rodgers’ side, considering Praet has not been a regular at Leicester this season.
With the player ready to take a pay cut to join van Jurić’s side, they now want Leicester to lower the price tag. If this were to happen, then a deal to take Praet to Torino is likely to take shape in the mid-season window.
