South American journalist Cesar Luis Merlo reports that there should finally be serious progress on Ramon Sosa’s move to Nottingham.
The whole thing turned into a drama over the past week or so, after the Premier League side and Talleres reached a verbal agreement for the move.
Then it was reproted Nottingham Forest had changed the agreed details when transferring the verbal agreement to paper. That obviously didn’t go down very well and Talleres spoke publicly to blame the English club.
Meanwhile, Sosa himself wasn’t prepared to let his Premier League dream die and effectively went on strike.
Monday saw Talleres’ manager repeat to everyone that Sosa wants to move to England, given the Nottingham Forest approach.
That saw immediate claims of a new offer having been made, but Talleres then denied they’d received anything of the kind.
Cesar Luis Merlo now reports Talleres are ‘ready to accept’ Nottingham Forest’s ‘latest offer’ for Sosa. That consists of €12m fixed fee plus €3.5m in potential bonuses.
Now the legal works begins to reach a done deal, before anyone changes their mind.
