Towards the latter stages of the summer transfer window, Fulham allowed Joey Bryan to join OGC Nice on a loan deal.
The 29-year-old has made eight appearances in all competitions for the French club, which includes only two league starts.
Lucien Favre has favoured Melvin Bard ahead of the Fulham owned player for the left side of the defence/left wing-back position this season.
According to Foot Mercato, Bryan’s performances have been ‘very disappointing’ and Nice are now ‘ready to send back’ the defender to Fulham in the January window.
The Ligue 1 side appointed Florent Ghisolfi as their new sporting director in October and the report states the chief had immediately identified the need to bring in a new left-back.
It’s claimed Nice are very interested in signing Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Rayan Aït-Nouri in the winter market and in order to make room for him, they are looking to get rid of Fulham’s Bryan.
Whether Nice will be successful in signing Aït-Nouri is not clear, but they plan to not have Bryan at the club for the second half of this season.
