According to Turkish newspaper Yeni Asir, as covered by Sporx, Galatasaray want to sign Aston Villa midfielder Marvelous Nakamba.

The Turkish side are still in the market for midfielders despite loaning Peter Etebo from Stoke City, and they’ve been linked with Fulham pair Jean Michael Seri and Stefan Johansen.

It’s claimed Gala’s latest midfield target is Nakamba and that they are ready to open talks with Aston Villa to loan the player until the end of the season.

The Super Lig side were linked with Nakamba before his move to England, and it’s believed the chances of him joining Galatasaray are stronger this time.

Aston Villa paid €12m to sign Nakamba from Club Brugge last season and the midfielder went on to make 29 Premier League appearances in his debut season with the club.

The midfielder didn’t feature in last week’s Premier League clash with Sheffield United but was involved against Burton Albion in the EFL Cup.

Nakamba’s contract at Villa Park will expire at the end of June 2024.
