According to a claim in the Turkish media, Galatasaray are looking to make an offer for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama.

The Kenya international has been linked with the Super Lig champions in the past week as they look to bolster their midfield in this transfer window.

Fanatik have reported on the latest developments regarding Gala’s pursuit of the Tottenham player and say the Turkish club are looking to loan him for 18 months. It’s claimed they don’t want to pay a rental fee for Wanyama so it’s likely they will cover some of his Spurs’ salary.

It’s also reported Jose Mourinho will not stand in the way of the 28 year old leaving the Premier League side and will not make it difficult for Galatasaray to get a deal done. As previously reported, Mourinho is a good friend of Faith Terim, the Super Lig club’s manager.

Wanyama looks surplus to requirements under the Portuguese coach and may need to move in this window.
