Aston Villa’s Mosusa Diaby has reached a ‘total agreement’ with Al-Ittihad to join the Saudi Arabian club this summer.
That’s according to Fabrice Hawkins, who says a deal worth €55m including bonuses has now been agreed between the two clubs as well.
According to his information Aston Villa and Al-Ittihad now agreed on the ‘essentials’ of the deal for the French forward and the final details of the move are now being finalised.
Diaby will sign a five-year deal with the Saudi Arabian club and become the latest big name to make the move to the Saudi Pro League.
A move for him has been steadily progressing over the last two weeks after Al-Ittihad made a surprise move for the player earlier this month.
It was claimed last week that a medical had even been booked for him, such was Al-Ittihad’s confidence that a deal could be struck with Aston Villa.
That’s now happened according to Hawkins, who says there is a total agreement between the two clubs on a €55m deal including bonuses and the final details of that are now being finalised.
The next step, the, will be for Aston Villa to allow Diaby to travel to Saudi Arabia for a medical and then finalise his departure after just a year at Villa Park.
