Over the past 24 hours or so, Genoa made a serious attempt to sign Tanguy Ndombélé from Tottenham.
The midfielder isn’t part of Ange Postecoglou’s plans at Spurs, and that’s why they have given him the chance to find himself a new team towards the end of the transfer window.
However, he is being rather picky, and has now made it clear, according to Le Parisien, that he will not be joining Genoa.
This comes after an article from Italy where it was believed the Serie A side were struggling to convince the Frenchman because he would much rather play for a club in the Champions League, and that had forced the Italians to change tactic and go after Donny van de Beek.
Well, the definitive answer has now arrived, as Le Parisien state the former Lyon star ‘will not be going’ to Genoa.
In fact, the club have ‘pulled out of negotiations’ over the past few hours, meaning they will be moving on from the Tottenham midfielder, who, according to the French outlet, also has ‘two other options’.
That being said, he also ‘doesn’t exclude staying’ with the London club, where he would then have to work very hard to convince Postecoglou to play him.
