Bayern Munich are interested in Brighton and Hove Albion star Moises Caicedo but won’t be making a bid, as they believe he already has an agreement with Chelsea.
That’s according to SportBILD journalist Christian Falk, who says the German side are pulling out of the race for the midfielder.
Caicedo is hot property this summer after impressing with Brighton over the last 18 months, developing into one of the best midfielders in the Premier League under Graham Potter and particularly Roberto de Zerbi.
That’s led to increased interest in his services, with clubs inside the Premier League and outside of it all thought to be considering a move for him.
Bayern are one of them as they look to add to their midfield for Thomas Tuchel this summer, but it seems they are now ruling themselves out.
He reports that while Bayern ‘were interested’ in signing Caicedo from Brighton, the club have decided not to make a move for him or even make a bid.
That’s because they believe that Caicedo ‘already has an agreement with Chelsea’ and so will be moving to Stamford Bridge in the coming weeks.
He offers no information more than that, just that Bayern believe a deal with Chelsea is already so advanced that it would be pointless for them to enter the race and compete, something we’re sure Blues fans will be delighted to hear.
