Two months ago, we covered claims from Italy that Juventus’ Arthur Melo has emerged as a target for Arsenal. It was also said the Italian club are hoping to collect €20m from his sale in the summer window.
Arthur spent the last two seasons on loan at Liverpool and Fiorentina after Massimiliano Allegri left him out of his plans.
Juve have replaced Allegri with Thiago Motta, and the latest claims have said the new manager will evaluate Arthur’s future.
It isn’t clear whether or not Motta has made a decision, but Tutto Juve claim the Old Lady have a plan to send the 27-year-old to Arsenal.
Four days ago, TuttoMercatoWeb said the manager has specifically requested the club to sign the 24-year-old Pole. It was also stated the Old Lady found the Gunners’ request of €20m to be excessive.
Tutto Juve state Mikel Arteta likes the Brazilian ‘a lot’, and the Old Lady ‘would propose’ Arthur in return for Kiwior.
It’s claimed the two players are valued at €20m, meaning Arsenal and Juve can carry out a direct exchange deal. Tutto Juve claim this is their own information, and they make no mention of the Gunners’ stance on this possible swap deal.
