Manchester United and other interested clubs have a good reason not to take long to bid for Napoli defender Min-jae Kim.
As reported by CalcioMercato.it today, the fact that the player has a €45m release clause makes him a quite affordable signing for many clubs who’ve been following him.
Knowing that this price tag would stop Napoli from making more money with the sale, club president Aurelio De Laurentiis is said to be planning a move.
According to the outlet, the official is ‘ready to take the field’ and give Kim a new contract. That way, he would ‘cancel’ the €45m release clause.
The report claims the defender’s representatives have been contacted by several clubs recently. Besides Manchester United, the likes of Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain are said to be very interested as well.
Knowing that they may soon lose Kim, Napoli are already thought to be looking for other centre-backs, with Fenerbahce’s Attila Szalai becoming a target.
Meanwhile, De Laurentiis will work on the South Korea’s renewal, hoping that Manchester United and others will pay more than €45m for his transfer.
