Real Betis president Ángel Haro has admitted Tottenham midfielder Giovani Lo Celso is a player he likes, although there is no bid as yet.
The Betis president has been speaking to the media today about the situation at the club and various transfer possibilities, as they look to strengthen for Manuel Pellegrini this summer.
That’s been seen him referring to various potential transfer targets they could be looking at, which means the Tottenham man was back on the agenda.
The Argentine is expected to leave Tottenham this summer after reportedly growing frustrated by the lack of playing time he was given under Ange Postecoglou last season, despite reports stating the Spurs coach wanted him and was planning with him.
The 28-year-old’s deal expires next summer, so his future needs to be dealt with in the coming weeks.
All indications have been that he will be departing and is keen to return to Betis, who he played for earlier in his career and arguably enjoyed the best part of his club career with.
The two parties have been flirting about a potential reunion since they parted ways and Haro has admitted the attraction remains, although there is no bid.
“It is recurring every summer that Lo Celso’s name appears, because we remember the good year he had here,” he said.
“However, now there is no proposal or offer. I like him, but there is nothing (so far).”
