It seems that, from afar, Fabio Paratici is still having a say in what happens at Tottenham in some shape or form.

The news comes from Il Messaggero, relayed by Lazio News 24, as they claim that Claudio Lotito was looking at signing one of Spurs’ scouts, Lorenzo Giani.

In fact, we covered the initial story about a week ago, when it was claimed by the same source that Lazio were interested in two Tottenham talent spotters, with one being the aforementioned Giani and the other Leonardo Gabbanini.

The latest update doesn’t give us any information on the latter, but the former is said to have been targeted by the club’s president, only for him to ‘shelve the idea’ soon after.

The reason for that? He had a chat with Paratici about the move, who is now a consultant at Sampdoria in an unofficial manner, as he is banned from conducting any football business for the next 30 months.

He can clearly advise others for free, which is what he seems to be doing, although what he said to Lotito about Tottenham’s Giani isn’t revealed.
