If Leicester City are really convinced to make an offer for São Paulo defender Lucas Beraldo, this seems like the perfect time to do it.
A fresh story from ESPN Brasil claims the Tricolor are ‘preparing to sell’ some of their players, as four of them have their bags packed for a move.
Beraldo is one of them, as he’s targeted by European clubs and São Paulo are in need of making big sales before the end of the year.
It’s pointed out that Leicester City, as well as Zenit, approached him lately, but haven’t made a bid so far. It’s said other European sides could also join that battle.
So it seems São Paulo are just waiting to have the offers on the table to analyse and see what’s the best proposal, without taking a long time to wait for others.
It’s been recently reported in Brazil that Leicester City were preparing a €20m offer for Beraldo, while his club had turned down €18m from Zenit, which may have just been a verbal bid from the Russian side.
It just seems like in case things go that way, the Foxes have a good chance of winning the race.
