Club and player know that Leicester will try move in January, but it won’t be easy

Sporting CP and Adrien Silva are pretty aware of Leicester’s interest. That’s what A Bola is saying today, following reports from England which said the Foxes will try the signing again.

The Portuguese newspaper claims that according to sources close to the player, Adrien knows that Leicester still want him, but would only leave for an unrefusable offer.

The midfielder still considers that the club is a good destination, for both football and financial reasons, but now would need a good argument to make him leave Sporting.

And despite being aware of the interest, Sporting haven’t changed their mind. They still want €45m, which is the player’s release clause, and won’t negotiate for less than that.

It’s worth remembering that Adrien Silva got very close to join Leicester over the summer. The player even gave interviews confirming the move, but the clubs never found a deal because Sporting wanted the full release clause.
