Valencia have ‘already begun’ their efforts to sign Bryan Gil from Tottenham again next season.

That’s according to El Desmarque, who say work is already underway for the Spanish side to secure the Spaniard for another season.

Bryan Gil joined the La Liga side on loan at the end of the January transfer window and has already been a huge success under Jose Bordalas with a series of impressive performances and rave reviews, even likening him to stars of the past.

They’re keen to keep him for as long as possible, and there have already been several reports that they’re planning a move in the summer.

El Desmarque back that up and state that work ‘has already begun’ to bring Bryan Gil back to Spain once his current loan deal end.

They explain that Tottenham have made it clear they will not include a purchase option in any deal, so Valencia are taking a different route.

Their ‘intention’ is to make the player ‘fall in love’ with the club during his time with them, and things are already going well on that front.

The youngster already has ‘importance’ under Bordalas, and that could be a ‘turning point’ for Spain boss Luis Enrique and bring Bryan Gil back into the national team set up. There is also the ‘connection’ he is enjoying with Valencia’s fans.

Antonio Conte’s recent comments are also being seen as a positive. He made it clear in a recent interview that he wants experience at Tottenham, and that rules out Byan Gil for the time being.

The feeling is the Italian is unlikely to want to bet on Bryan Gil moving forwards, as was demonstrated by the lack of playing time he endured at the beginning of this season.

The youngster was only handed 86 minutes of game time and four stars, which suggests he’s not in Conte’s plans, something which is a major boost for Valencia’s hopes of extending his stay at the Mestalla.
