Everton are among the clubs in the mix to sign TSG Hoffenheim rising star Maximilian Beier, according to Fussball Transfers.
The 20-year-old spent the last two years on loan at Hannover 96 and has been included in Hoffenheim’s first team squad this season, where he’s managed five goals and an assist from eight games.
He also made his debut for Germany’s U21 side last month and the report says the striker could soon be in contention to receive a call up from Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann.
Beier’s rapid rise for club and country and his lighting pace has seen him attract attention from Everton and other clubs.
Sean Dyche’s side, Liverpool and Brentford all seem to be keen to sign the player but the Bundesliga side have a ‘plan’ to keep him away from the Toffees and others. The German’s current deal expires in 2025 and the report states it includes a €20m release clause.
Fussball Transfers have relayed a claim from Kicker explaining that Hoffenheim are trying to tie down their young star to an improved deal in order to fend off Everton, Liverpool and Brentford, and that would also include a new release clause.
