It seems Inter Milan finally made their attempt to get Gianluca Scamacca signed from West Ham United.
According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the Nerazzurri have just placed their first official offer for the striker.
The Nerazzurri reportedly want the player on a loan deal, then paying between €20m and €22m for the purchase, with no conditions which would make that obligatory.
West Ham’s plan has always been to get an outright sale, so the clubs are expected to continue their negotiation about that.
Inter Milan still see the competition from AS Roma, and according to Di Marzio, the Giallorossi do include a buying option in their offer.
In the effort planned by José Mourinho’s side, they’d be obligated to buy Scamacca in case he makes a certain number of appearances and they qualify for the Champions League next season.
So even though they’re expected to put less money than Inter Milan on the table, that’s a type of deal that West Ham may feel more attracted to.
Scamacca himself is said to be waiting for Roma, but that doesn’t rule out a potential positive answer to Inter Milan.
