AC Milan want to further bolster their strike force and have included Chelsea’s Armando Broja in their target list, according to Tuttosport, relayed by MilanLive.it.
The Serie A winners are looking to invest around €35-40m on a young striker in 2023 and have the Blues frontman in their sights.
Apart from the Chelsea player, Atalanta’s Rasmus Højlund and Ajax’s Mohammed Kudus are included in the Rossoneri’s list.
Broja impressed during his loan spell at Southampton last season and was included in the west London club’s squad this term by Thomas Tuchel, but the Blues soon showed the German the exit door and already appointed Graham Potter as his successor.
The Albania international came off in the second half in his side’s 1-1 draw against Red Bull Salzburg, which was Potter’s first game in charge at Stamford Bridge. It was his sixth appearance off the bench this campaign.
Tuttosport state Milan scouts have observed Broja while he was in action for Southampton last season, where he managed nine goals and an assist.
The attacker hopes to establish himself at Chelsea but has been restricted to a substitute’s role so far.
It needs to be seen whether Broja’s situation at Chelsea will improve under Potter, but Milan, for their part, may continue to keep eyes on him.
