Galatasaray are ready to offer Bruma a new contract, according to reports from Portugal.
Tuesday’s edition of O Jogo claims that the player, who currently has a deal with the Turkish club until 2018, is now getting the chance to sign an extension until 2022.
Bruma’s agent Cátio Baldé is said to be in Istanbul to talk to Galatasaray, and all the options are being considered. Even a January sale.
O Jogo mentions Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United as the biggest candidates to take the player, as his desire to play in the Premier League has been reported for a long time.
Last week O Jogo spoke to Bruma’s agent, who told them: “Besides Tottenham, there are other English clubs who are very attentive to Bruma.”
The English clubs’ interest is what is hurrying Galatasaray to renew his contract, even though they’re also aware of Bruma’s wish to go to England. It was claimed in Turkey that Bruma didn’t want to renew, eyeing up a Premier League move instead.
The Turkish press have recently said that the 22-year-old’s price tag would be around €25m, meaning that the club would turn down any offers below that figure.
Bruma may well want a Premier League move, and there may well be interest, but if he does renew with Gala then the interest of English clubs will have helped.
