On June 19th, Milliyet journalist Nevzat Dindar stated Brighton & Hove Albion have made an offer for Galatasaray’s Sacha Boey.
He also said the Seagulls’ offer is higher than the one proposed by Arsenal, who are keen to sign the 22-year-old in the summer window. The details of their offers weren’t mentioned.
Dindar, through Milliyet’s website, now provides a new update on the potential deal to take the right-back to Brighton.
He states Galatasaray vice-president Erden Timur ‘flew to England once again’, a month after he made the last trip in May. This time, he ‘sat at the table’ with Brighton over a deal for the Frenchman.
With Roberto De Zerbi’s side already making an offer, the journalist says Timur is trying to convince Brighton to raise the proposal to €18.5m for Boey.
The defender has publicly talked about his “dream” to play in the Premier League and his employers are trying to cash in from his sale in this window.
Dindar states Timur will ‘speed up the work’ to carry out a few sales, including that of Boey, during his time in England.
