Over the past few months, various claims from across Europe have stated Pierre-Emile Højbjerg is expected to leave Tottenham Hotspur.
The midfielder struggled for a prominent role under Ange Postecoglou last season, and has a year left on his deal. Galatasaray are one of the clubs to be credited with interest in the Tottenham player.
On Sunday, the Turkish club’s vice-chairman, İbrahim Hatipoğlu, spoke to reporters and confirmed his side’s interest in the 28-year-old, and his comments are relayed by CNN Turk.
Hatipoğlu has also revealed the Denmark international is courted by several clubs, which is why he hasn’t yet made the final decision on his future.
“Højbjerg is a very good player. He has many suitors. He says he wants to decide after seeing all the options. It may take more time than others,” he said.
Galatasaray’s local rival Fenerbahçe have also shown interest in the former Southampton man.
On July 5th, Sabah stated Fenerbahçe manager José Mourinho, who knows Højbjerg from his time at the north London club, could be key to helping them beat the Turkish champions to his signature.
As well as the two Istanbul clubs, Atlético Madrid and a few Serie A sides are looking to take Højbjerg away from Tottenham in this window.
