Wolverhampton Wanderers have made a proposal to sign Paris Saint-Germain’s Pablo Sarabia in January, according to AS.
The attacking midfielder has seen his playing time restricted this season as he has made six starts in all competitions, out of which three of them were in the league.
PSG have an ‘offer on the table’ from Wolves for the 31-year-old, and this allows Nasser Al Khelaïfi and Luis Campos to carry out an ‘interesting and unexpected exit’ in January.
The details of the proposal aren’t mentioned, but it’s stated the Spain international’s sale can help the Ligue 1 winners earn part of the money [€20m] they invested in signing him in 2019.
Sarabia’s deal expires in 2024 and is not relied upon heavily by Christophe Galtier at Parc des Princes. He is still a ‘very loved player’ for what he contributes to the team and his professionalism.
Several teams have showed interest in the player, but only a ‘very few’ can offer a fee and salary like what Wolves have proposed.
AS add Julen Lopetegui is the main supporter for his compatriot’s arrival at the Premier League side.
If Sarabia accepts Wolves’ offer, his sale would help PSG earn money and also lower their wage bill.
