AC Milan’s interest in the signing of Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson gets a new update today.
This time, it’s Calciomercato talking about this pursuit, claiming it fits the Rossoneri’s plan of bringing a new young player into their attack this summer.
The outlet writes that Nelson’s agents ‘offered him’ to Milan, and the Serie A giants are now ‘seriously considering’ the possibility of signing him.
It all depends, of course, on his contract situation with Arsenal. His deal expires at the end of the season, and despite long talks for a renewal, there are no signs of it yet.
A free transfer is the only way Milan would see this signing as possible, so they must wait and see how things will go between the player and the Gunners.
Nelsson returned from a loan at Feyenoord last summer, and playing under Mikel Arteta this season, he has three goals and three assists in 13 appearances.
This is obviously a crucial moment for the club in the Premier League title race, so it’s hard to imagine him sorting his future in the coming weeks, giving Milan a bit more time to get their arguments together to try and convince him to snub Arsenal and try something new.
