Manchester City striker Lukas Nmecha has succeeded in impressing for Anderlecht this season after struggling during his previous loan spells.

The Cityzens allowed the 22-year-old to join the Jupiler Pro League side on a loan deal, where he has been in fine form under the orders of Vincent Kompany, scoring nine goals in 14 league appearances.

According to Het Nieuwsblad, the Belgian side have already started planning for the next season and are looking at the possibility of bringing Mykola Kukharevych from FC Rukh Lviv in Ukraine next summer.

Anderlecht took the City owned player on a dry loan deal, and therefore, the report states they ‘want to talk’ with the Premier League club about extending Nmecha’s loan stay for one more season.

Kompany’s side ‘do not give up’ on the possibility of retaining the German beyond this campaign, but the report questions whether their hope is ‘realistic’.

It’s claimed Anderlecht will let City know they will be the ‘first candidate’ to take Nmecha next summer.

Het Nieuwsblad states Nmecha ‘dreams’ of playing in a ‘top competition’ and should he manage to score at least 15 goals for Anderlecht this season, then Pep Guardiola may want to given him a chance at Etihad.

If Guardiola decides not to include Nmecha in his plans, City may then want to make money from his sale after this season.
