It seems that Italian side Benevento are still ‘not convinced’ they will try to sign Bruno Alves from Glasgow Rangers this month.
The negotiations have been reported for a couple of days now, first with newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport saying the defender was completely available, then Tuttosport reporting that the clubs were yet to find an agreement.
But Corriere Dello Sport comes up with a third take today, saying Benevetto are still wondering if Alves is worth the investment.
In a short story, they claim this possibility is still being evaluated as the club are still not convinced they want to sign the Portuguese international, especially because they are waiting for other departures to be sorted first.
It could be that the Italian wonder if Graeme Murty isn’t convinced enough with the player then why should they be.
Signed by Rangers on a free move from Cagliari last summer, Alves had a solid start under his compatriot Pedro Caixinha at Ibrox, but has been in and out of the team for the past few months.
