West Ham are being offered a little optimism on a couple of potential transfers today.
Earlier, we covered reports from France and Italy which made clear Nice won’t accept Juventus’ offer for Jean-Clair Todibo. The Turin club are offering a loan with a €30m buying option, and that’s almost seen as an insult. West Ham’s offer was put at a loan with a €36m mandatory clause, an amount considered fair.
The defender wants Juve but they need to please Nice.
There’s a similar situation ongoing with Youssouf Fofana.
Calciomercato report the midfielder wants to move to AC Milan, as is already known. Then it’s stated the Rossoneri have ‘no intention’ of even getting close to the €30m West Ham are said to have offered.
AC Milan director Geoffrey Moncada is in daily contact with the player’s agent, and there’s confidence the Hammers offer isn’t being considered.
However, Milan haven’t gone beyond €17m.
If they don’t improve that quickly then West Ham may have an opportunity, just like with Todibo. These are outside bets, yet situations which aren’t over for the Hammers until the other clubs can agree deals.
