Every single Portuguese newspaper today has something to say about Tottenham Hotspur and Pedro Porro.
On Wednesday morning, we covered a piece from newspaper Record which said Spurs are only putting €34m on the table despite Antonio Conte putting pressure on them to get signings done, and that means they’re still far from Sporting’s €45m request.
The Lions clearly have no problem with the player staying at least until the end of the season, and as O Jogo writes about the situation, they claim the Lisbon side ‘will maintain the game of patience’ in the talks with Tottenham.
It’s said Sporting are ‘in no hurry’ to get the sale done, as there are still two weeks in the transfer window for something to happen.
Meanwhile, newspaper A Bola also says Tottenham are ‘very far’ from the €45m asked by the Lions, and that’s why the transfer is becoming ‘more unlikely’.
It’s even said Spurs could be back with more power before the end of the market, but the truth is that there are no signs of a deal yet.
Even the inclusion of Marcus Edwards in the deal, which seemed as a possibility a couple of weeks ago, is now considered out of the picture.
