When Manchester United’s transfer window closed, they were left with quite a few players they had been trying to offload.
Among them was Eric Bailly, who seemingly came close a couple of times to an exit, without ever anything concrete taking place.
One of those destinations was Besiktas, and Milliyet in Turkey suggest a transfer from Manchester United to the Süper Lig club could take place, and very quickly.
It’s pointed out the club have three names for the centre-back role they are considering, and those are Fluminense’s Nino, Flamengo’s David Luis and the aforementioned Ivory Coast international.
Besiktas’ main issue is that they want to include whoever they sign in their Conference League squad, and the deadline for that is Monday night.
It’s explained that the man in charge of transfers, Senol Gunes, would like Nino, but the other two, meaning the Manchester United centre-back as well, are also on the list of candidates.
That’s when they add that Besiktas ‘will officially include’ one of them for the Conference League squad.
This leaves them with very little time to conclude a deal, suggesting that if they can’t get Nino or Luis, then a transfer for Eric Bailly on Monday could quickly take place.
