Torino are working to bring Leicester City’s Dennis Praet back to the club in this window.
The midfielder spent the 2021/22 season on loan at the Serie A side, and Enzo Maresca, the Foxes’ new manager, will have a huge say on this operation.
That’s according to La Stampa, relayed by Torino Granata, who state the Turin club will ‘need the OK from Maresca’ to set up a deal with Leicester for the 29-year-old.
Leicester were relegated from the Premier League and Maresca is now tasked to help them return to the top flight.
Tuttosport state the Belgium international ‘wants to leave’ the King Power Stadium in this window. The Turin club could be an option for him.
It’s claimed Torino technical director Davide Vagnati knocked on Leicester’s door for the player. The problem for them is to convince the Foxes to lower their request, which is around €7m.
Praet was restricted to less than 1000 minutes of game time from 27 games [six league starts] last season. With 12 months left in his deal, Leicester could risk losing him for free a year later.
To sum it up, Praet could end up at Torino if Maresca gives his approval and Leicester lower their demands for the Belgian midfielder.
