Struggling get back to last season’s heights without Luciano Spalletti at the helm, Napoli are looking to improve their squad this January, especially in midfield.
They have been linked with many names, and Corriere dello Sport bring a new one on Tuesday, who so happens to be contracted to Fulham.
That’s Sasa Lukic, who arrived at Craven Cottage in a €10m transfer last January from Torino, but who hasn’t fully convinced Marco Silva since his arrival.
He has just 13 appearances in all competitions this season for Fulham, with most coming in the Premier League, but off the bench.
That’s why Napoli are lurking, knowing full well the midfielder would waste no time adapting to Italian football, having spent nearly six years there during his time in Turin.
It’s explained that Lukic is ‘not able to get the satisfaction he would like’ at Fulham, with just 565 minutes of football played.
However, the belief is it would take ‘around €10m’ to sign him, meaning the Craven Cottage side would want their money back, which is also what Fiorentina want for Antonin Barak.
Decisions, decisions…
