Having seemingly decided against a stay in England despite reported interest from Manchester City, Manchester United’s Paul Pogba could be heading back to France.
Leaving his home country in 2009 when the Red Devils plucked him from Le Havre’s U17s, the midfielder has spent the vast majority of his career in England, with a four-year stint at Juventus in the middle of it.
However, with his contract at Manchester United expiring in the summer and no renewal in sight, his exit from Old Trafford is almost guaranteed, and Paris Saint-Germain are pushing the hardest.
They are the club that have ‘moved more concretely’, as the player ‘will hardly return to Turin despite the interest from the Bianconeri’.
PSG seem ready to offer him a ‘leading role in the team that will try to win the Champions League next year’, as well as a ‘economically very important contract’.
Unless Erik ten Hag convinces him otherwise, it seems Pogba is heading from Manchester United to Paris in the near future, then.
