Borussia Dortmund have met with Sunderland star Jobe Bellingham in Ibiza to again discuss a transfer.

That’s according to journalist Patrick Berger, who reports that Dortmund sporting director Sebastien Kehl met the Sunderland midfielder on the island.

The two held a ‘personal conversation’, during which he tried to convince Bellingham to choose the German club. Bellingham has still not accepted or rejected the offer from Dortmund at this point.

In the event that Bellingham does reject their bid, the Bundesliga side have lined up Ardon Jashari as a replacement. He would cost €25-30m, the same figure it will take to sign Bellingham from Sunderland this summer.

He, though, is yet to decide on his future. The list of his admirers continues to grow, with clubs in England, Italy and Germany all vying for the Sunderland star’s signature.

He appears destined to leave the Stadium of Light and is reportedly keen on playing in the Champions League. That gives Dortmund a shot and they do have a positive relationship with the Bellingham family after Jude Bellingham’s success time at the club.

The Germans, though, are waiting on the 19-year-old to make a decision, perhaps hoping this latest meeting in Ibiza was enough to convince him.
