With Inter Milan struggling to find a deal for West Ham United’s Gianluca Scamacca, they seem to have changed targets, now focusing on Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun.
There are a few reports about that chase coming out, all saying the Nerazzurri are set to make a new attempt for the player.
The first story came from Sport Italia. They claim that Arsenal have ‘opened up’ to the sale and Inter Milan are ‘convinced’ of going for him, while the operation could be done for around €35m.
Then it was time for journalist Ignazio Genuardi to say something similar. He claims the Nerazzurri made ‘new contact’ for Balogun. The Serie A side are said to already have a deal with the player, and could now pay the Gunners between €35m and €40m for the transfer.
Inter Milan had been totally focused on signing Scamacca, who was believed to be a cheaper signing, but with that option now gone, it seems their return for Balogun is real.
The Nerazzurri already failed to sign Romelu Lukaku and the West Ham player, so they may come stronger for the Arsenal striker this time.
