There’s a claim that Fenerbahce are showing interest in Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Mario Lemina.

It’s been widely reported in the Turkish press in recent weeks the Istanbul side are looking to bring in a central midfielder as Jose Mourinho looks to bring in an experienced partner for Fred.

Spor Sayfa have reported on the developments regarding Fenerbahce’s pursuit for a central midfielder after being linked with Sheffield United’s Vini Souza in recent days. They say Lemina is the latest player the Yellow Canaries are targeting and that an offer has been made to the Wolves player.

According to the Turkish media outlet, Fenerbahce have offered the 30-year-old a four-year contract, with a salary of €3m a season. Fener are also looking to offer Wolves in the region of €4m for the central midfielder.

It’s unlikely the Premier League side will want to part ways with Lemina in this window, but with just under 12 months left on his contract they could be under pressure to sell or lose him on a free next summer.

Fenerbahce also have the advantage they still have until mid-September to sign players, with the Super Lig transfer window only set to close then.

The Turkish club are looking at several options, and Lemina is just one of those.
