Torino are making a fresh attempt to sign Dennis Praet from Leicester City, according to Italian reports.
The Serie A side haven’t given up on the 29-year-old, and are now set to take advantage of the Foxes’ relegation to buy him.
According to Tuttosport (via TuttoMercatoWeb), Torino are putting on the table an offer worth €3m.
The outlet admits that this bid is ‘too low’, but apparently, the intention is just to ‘officially start’ the negotiations with Leicester City for the midfielder.
Dennis Praet had been at Torino on a year-long loan in the 2021/22 season, and had very convincing 24 appearances there, despite the struggle with injuries.
It’s been no secret the Serie A side wanted to keep him, and they ended up failing to meet Leicester City’s requests last summer.
Torino, however, aren’t done with their pursuit, and shall continue trying.
Praet only made 27 appearances for the Foxes this season, and is far from being an important player for them.
Now with the relegation, that should be a good opportunity to cash in with his sale and get rid of his salary.
