Beto started for Everton against Manchester United at the weekend, his first start in the Premier League season.
The Portuguese did well in the final third, showing glimpses of his ability, even if he didn’t score. He was taken off later, as Everton picked up a heavy 4-0 defeat against Ruben Amorim’s side.
The start at Old Trafford has not dispelled the doubts around Beto’s future. The striker has been linked with a return to Serie A and it seems as if some progress has taken place on that front.
AsRomaLive have reported on the 26-year-old today, stating that Roma see him as a January target and there is also interest from Juventus.
However, the battle may be growing because it’s claimed Torino have now made contact with the Everton man’s entourage. The Turin side want a replacement for the injured Duvan Zapata and they have tried to find out more about Beto’s situation and the possibility of a transfer.
Their attempt is to understand the feasibility of a January move, so they are assessing how the player can be signed next month.
