Paris Saint Germain have offered a contract to Manchester City striker Julian Alvarez and started discussions about a potential deal.
That’s according to journalist Santi Aouna, who reports that talks are underway with Manchester City to find out the ‘feasibility’ of a potential transfer.
Several reports have indicated that Alvarez is keen to move on from Manchester City this summer having grown frustrated with playing the secondary role to Erling Haaland.
He was initially heavily linked with a move to Atlético Madrid, but that track has gone cold over recent weeks and Aouna now reports that PSG have ‘made a contract offer’ to the Argentine.
They have also started discussions with Manchester City to find out the feasibility of a possible deal this summer. The Premier League champions are around for €70-80m for the striker, whose profile has been ‘validated’ by PSG manager Luis Enrique.
It’s unlikely to be an agreement that can be worked out quickly because of the potential fee, but PSG are now keen to look into the matter, nonetheless.
It’s a situation to keep an eye on in the coming weeks, with plenty of information likely to be coming from France if PSG continue to make an effort for the World Cup winner.
