There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Besiktas have stepped up their pursuit for Burnley forward Zeki Amdouni.
The Istanbul side have been linked with the 24-year-old over the past week following his loan spell with Benfica this season.
Gokmen Ozcan has reported on the latest developments regarding Besiktas’ interest in the Burnley player and he says the Black Eagles have made contact with the newly promoted club.
Ole Gunnar Solskjær is keen to improve his attacking options ahead of next season and could lose Ciro Immobile and Semih Kilicsoy this summer. Burnley’s goalscoring midfielder Josh Brownhill is also a reported target for the Istanbul side.
The Turkish journalist reports Burnley will be open to selling Amdouni and that an offer in the region of €20m could get a deal over the line.
Amdouni is said to be interested in a transfer to Besiktas, given he supported them as a child. Another factor is that his father is from Turkey and was born in Trabzon.
The Burnley has made 43 appearances for Benfica this season, scoring nine goals. He’s contracted to the Clarets until June 2028.
