Manchester United have received an offer from Grêmio for the transfer of Facundo Pellistri, according to claims from Brazil.
Grêmio News says the Tricolor, who have been interested in the player for a while, are making a new attempt to get him signed this summer.
The offer delivered to Manchester United is reportedly for a one-year loan deal. In that period, Grêmio would pay 60% of the player’s wages, and would like a percentage of a future sale as a ‘showcase fee’.
It’s pointed out that the bid is better than the one made back in January, when they were trying to sign him on loan with an option to buy.
Still, Grêmio News says ‘there isn’t big optimism’ about the operation. Firstly, because European clubs are interested in Pellistri, and then because Manchester United have ‘patience’ about the youngster’s potential, willing to test him in pre-season and not that interested in sending him back to South America so soon.
The Red Devils signed the winger in an €8.5m move from Peñarol in 2020, and so far he only has ten appearances for the Old Trafford side.
