Trabzonspor have made an offer to West Bromwich Albion defender Cédric Kipré as they look to sign a right-back this summer.
That’s according to journalist Safa Can Konuksever, via Sports Digitale, who covers comments from Trabzonspor president Ertuğrul Doğan today and how they may refer to the West Brom man.
Doğan was recently quoted as saying that “there are three defenders that we met with” when asked about the subject of adding in that area this summer, particularly at right back.
Safa Can Konuksever now reports that Trabzonspor have ‘made an offer’ to Kipré, who is in the final year of his contract with West Brom.
He initially joined West Brom in a €1.1m deal from Wigan in September 2020 but spent the second half of 2021 on loan at Charleroi before then spending a short spell at Cardiff in 2023 as well.
He was a regular for West Brom last season, managing 48 appearances in all competitions and over 4,000 minutes in total and Safa Can Konuksever reports that they are working to try and sign him to a new deal as well.
Whether they can convince the 27-year-old remains to be seen, particularly now that Trabzonspor have been in touch and presented their own proposal ahead of talking to the Baggies about a transfer.
