In what is quickly becoming a rather tedious saga this summer, Galatasaray are making another move for Tottenham’s Tanguy Ndombélé.
There was a point when the midfielder appeared to be on his way to Fenerbahçe, who wanted both him and Fred to bolster their midfield, but the acquisition of the Brazilian only made their rivals want the Frenchman more.
That’s what a report in Takvim states on Monday, as the Turkish outlet claim that Galatasaray have made a ‘new offer’ to Tottenham for the midfielder.
This came after they ‘accelerated contacts’ with Spurs, and it’s made clear the Süper Lig giants want to close the transfer ‘as soon as possible’.
They ‘decided to take action’ after Fenerbahçe got their midfield reinforcement from the Premier League, and their manager, Okan Buruk, told those above him that he wanted a new midfielder quickly.
That’s why Erden Timur then ‘updated the previous offer’ he had made to Tottenham to try and get a transfer over the line, as the club want to ‘give a new gift’ to their fans by signing the former Lyon star, who spent last season on loan at Napoli.
The 26-year-old was nowhere to be seen in Ange Postecoglou’s squad against Brentford, showing just why an exit from London is needed.
