Feyenoord are making a new attempt to get Bryan Gil from Tottenham on deadline day, aiming for a last-minute loan deal until the end of the season.
That’s according to 1908.nl, who say the Dutch champions ‘made a new attempt’ in London this morning after seeing an earlier effort this month rejected by Tottenham.
They explain that it is currently unclear how realistic a move for the Tottenham winger is, with him again having been a part of Ange Postecoglou’s matchday squad for the win over Brentford.
He failed to come off the bench in that game but was a part of the squad nonetheless and it is unclear whether the Australian coach will let him leave Tottenham before the window closes.
Gil has been targeted by several sides throughout January without a move becoming concrete and Feyenoord are one of them, seeing an approach earlier this month batted away by Spurs.
They’ve now made an improved offer and it is on the table in North London, although 1908.nl don’t explain how the offer is an improvement on their last one, just that it is.
That bid was seemingly submitted this morning as the Dutch side try to get things done before tonight’s deadline, and the matter is now firmly in Tottenham’s hands.
