Bayern Munich are ‘losing patience’ with Kyle Walker as he still holds up on making a decision about a potential move from Manchester City.
That’s according to Sky Germany and journalist Florian Plettenburg, relayed by FCB Inside, who say that Bayern are already eyeing up an alternative to the England international.
Bayern have targeted a move for Walker this summer as they look likely to sell Benjamin Pavard and will need a replacement for him this summer.
Walker is believed to be open to the move but is yet to decide upon it, despite confidence from Bayern that they can get a deal over the line.
Sky now pick up on that and explains that due to Pavard’s ‘imminent departure’, Bayern are looking at the market and the Manchester City defender was considered the ‘ideal solution’ for a long time.
However, the 33-year-old has not yet made a final decision on whether to extend his contract at Manchester City or switch to Bavaria.
That’s frustrating for those in charge at Bayern and they are ‘slowly but surely losing patience’ with the full-back as they wait for him to provide them with the ‘final feedback’ either way.
They appear to be getting a sense that Walker will remain at Manchester City and thus have a Plan B up their sleeve according to Plettenburg.
He reports that Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong could again become an issue at the club if their pursuit of Walker actually comes to nothing.
That’s yet to be defined as Walker holds on making a decision about his future at Manchester City, a slow process that isn’t particularly pleasing those in charge at the Allianz.
